Payment Safety and Security for Parts and Accessories on Sell Buy Moto

You can safely enter your entire card number on CycleTrader.com via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information. We use a variety of vendors that provide secure transaction environments.

Credit Cards Accepted as Payment

Which cards can you use to purchase parts and accessories on CycleTrader.com? Your orders are placed directly to the dealer and not to CycleTrader.com. So, these dealers (not CycleTrader) fulfill each order placed to them. Because of that, each dealer accepts different credit cards.

Most often, dealers accept one or more of the following cards as payment for your orders:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • Discover
  • American Express
  • Visa or MasterCard check cards or ATM cards

You can use debit and check cards issued by the companies above in addition to their standard credit cards. For example, if you're paying with a Visa Check Card please select Visa from the drop-down menu on the order form when indicating the card type.

How do I know my personal information is secure?

We do our best to provide you with a safe and convenient shopping experience. We have in place certain safeguards to protect the security and privacy of your personal information.

When you enter your personal information on our websites, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect your information as it is transmitted to us. To make sure you are accessing our secure server before you submit personal financial information, look at the lower left-hand corner of your browser. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser), then SSL is active. To double-check for security, look at the URL or Location line of your browser. If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the address in that line should change from "http" to "https."

Parts & Accessories Dealer Shipping Times

Shipping Overview

When you purchase a part, accessory, apparel or other item from a dealer at CycleTrader.com Parts & Accessories, you pay immediately, online. Included in your payment is a fee for shipping set by the dealer selling the item.

Problems with Parts and Accessories Dealers

Disputes

CycleTrader.com wants every order to go as smoothly as possible, but in rare cases, disputes will occur. Since the sales agreement is between the buyer and the seller, CycleTrader.com cannot intervene in the event of a dispute. Buyers should contact their seller with questions about an order made through CycleTrader.com.

There are two ways for you to find the dealer's e-mail address. The e-mail notification that is sent to you following a purchase includes this information.

If you ever have questions before making a purchase, just find the seller's contact information in your Shopping Cart.

Out-of-Stock Orders

Dealers work hard to ensure that stock is on hand for delivery, but now and then the availability of a listed item will change by the time an order is placed. If a dealer is unable to deliver, they should refund you promptly so that you can place a new order. Please know that occasionally items may be out of stock.

Unreceived Orders

If you paid for an order and the estimated delivery date passes, you have the right to be concerned. Dealers are responsible for communicating with you and for correcting any problems that might arise with lost shipments, damaged items, or other mishaps. If a dealer on CycleTrader.com fails to deliver, we want to know about it to help prevent such problems from occurring.

Incorrect Orders

Like unreceived orders, wrong orders should be brought to your dealer's attention. Contact your dealer for assistance. If a dealer on CycleTrader.com fails to deliver, we want to know about it to help prevent such problems from occurring.

Bounced E-mails

Dealers are required to have valid e-mail addresses; dealers who do not are violating our Participation Agreement and Terms of Service. If your e-mail to a seller bounces, please report this. You will not receive a reply to your report, but our Investigations team will follow up with the dealer.

If you cannot reach your dealer, please review the guidelines above for help in resolving your order concerns.

Internet Scams And Fraud

How do I stay safe when meeting in person?

4 Tips for Selling Safely: 1. Vet callers thoroughly. Always talk to the buyer by phone. Ask lots of questions of the caller. The more you engage with a caller, the more you get a feel for them. 2. Don't go to a meeting alone. Take someone with you and let others know where you are going. 3. Meet in a public place. Meet in a shopping center or if your local police department has an online meet designated spot, use that. 4. Trust your gut. If you are not comfortable meeting with a caller, there is usually a reason why.

I received a suspicious response from a Cycle ad on your site. How can I determine if it is a legitimate deal?

Forward any suspect response you receive to fraud@traderinteractive.com. One of our representatives will be able to advise you. You can also visit our Security Center online at https://www.traderinteractive.com/security-center/. You can also click on the link for the Security Center at the bottom of this page. Here you will find helpful tips on how to protect yourself as an online buyer.

My Garage

What is My Garage (now My Trader)?

My Garage (now My Trader) gives you the ability to personalize CycleTrader.com and provides several features that will help you buy or sell a bike or simply browse our vast inventory.
You can:
Save your favorite searches and run them with one click.
Save your favorite cycle ads for later comparison and research.
View and modify any bike ads you have placed on our site.

What is "My Place an Ad"?

If you have placed an ad on our site for a bike for sale, you may use this feature to view the ad, modify or delete it all from one easy-to-access location.

How does the Saved Cycles feature work?

When you search for a bike, or look at an ad's "more details" page, you will see a checkbox or link to "Add to saved cycles." Clicking here will save the ad. You can view your saved bikes by clicking on the "Saved Cycles" tab at the top of most pages, or by clicking on the My Garage link on the left hand side of all pages. Ads are saved from session to session, meaning that you may save a bike on your computer at work and view it later at home. If an ad is deleted by the seller, or not renewed, the ad will disappear from your Saved Cycles menu.

Place An Ad

Can I change the item for sale in my ad?

Once the item that was originally advertised has been sold, you will need to remove their ad from the website. Any remaining time cannot be used to advertise a different item.

You cannot change the year, make or model of an item after the ad has been active for 24 hours.

Why can't I find the ads I want?

You may be narrowing your search too much. You do not have to fill in every box provided for you. Broaden your searches by leaving some blank or giving a wider range to the information (such as price or year) that you enter.
